We are a volunteer-run, membership-based community organization of people who live in Davidsonville, Maryland.
Established November 1974, the Davidsonville Area Civic Association — commonly referred to as DACA — is a volunteer-run membership organization of people who live in Davidsonville, Maryland, a 28-square-mile residential and agricultural community in southern Anne Arundel County. As an organization, DACA stays attuned to community, business and legislative activities that impact the Davidsonville area in order to inform residents and advocate for local interests.
Residents of Davidsonville (population: about 8,300 in about 3,000 households) enjoy the combined benefits of living in a relaxed, rural setting that features quality parks, schools and community sports with the convenience of being located near the Maryland state capital of Annapolis, the waters of the South River and Chesapeake Bay, and the cities of Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
